One of James Haidak’s passions is traveling. He believes the reason so many people don’t travel is that they’re afraid of the expense it entails. James Haidak explains that shouldn’t be the case since there are several ways travelers can save for a trip.

He shares a few of them below.
Change money at the local bank before leaving. Travelers should change currency at their local bank before they leave. James Haidak also cautions new travelers from exchanging money at airports, because airport money changers have the worst rates.

Take the time to look for an Airbnb. Unless the point of the trip is to stay in a specific resort, James Haidak suggests looking for an Airbnb, especially when traveling in a group. Nowadays, Airbnbs have become the most affordable and decent places to stay in.

Learn to use trains and buses. In most cities, trains and buses are the cheapest ways to go around. Learning the routes is easy nowadays since most cities have maps in English. Travelers should avoid taking taxis whenever they can since taxis are the most expensive mode of transportation open to the public.

Ask the locals about the best places to eat. Nobody is a better authority on where to get a good, affordable meal than the locals, according to James Haidak. Usually, the best food in a city can be found far from the tourist spots. There are certain districts that foodies will definitely enjoy, James Haidak adds.
